advice on buying a 1998 12 valve

Probably why it got traded in, sounds like the beginning of a torque converter failure. Only about $3800 for a new transmission.

Good one to pass up unless they drop the price majorly.

I'd personally reccommend steering away from local lots and use a site like autotrader or msn to find one that really fits your needs. There are lots of these out there, and flying to buy the right one is much easier than it used to be, and more cost-effective than buying some old rig that's got a bad or unknown history.

yea, gonna pass this one by, actually I found it on autotrader LOL jsut happend to be a lot, my problem is that I work 6 days a week and only have sunday off, and being 19 when I call people noone takes me seriously which is understandable because my generation is worthless I would fly out to look at a truck, but what if I dont like it?? theres a 97 on autotrader in northern ohio that I would like to look at but looks like theres a chance its been rode hard and put up wet

Good luck in your search - by the way I have proof with several friends through my work and church that your generation isn't worthless! Don't be so quick to put yourself down!

I won't claim to know all that much, but I've researched these things a bit and have had many experances with dealers - for better or worse.
