The torqueshift tranny can handle the 500hp, but like what was said torque at 1400 rpm rips them apart. Comparison wise, I believe even at that HP level the torque may just crest 900-1000 ft-lbs at the 22-2300 rpm mark. (can't remember where I saw the dyno sheet). Similar Cummins HP units would be near the 12-1300 ft-lb mark.
