Question 6.4 smoke

today on my way home i pulled next to a 07 powerstock i noticed it was smoking just sit there at a idle. When we took off it smoke the entire time the truck was moving i thought that was strange ,because i thought they werent supposed to smoke at all .Has anybody payed close attention besides me ?

i had the misfourtune of being beat by one on 95 north bound in carolina he had it turned way up side pipe and all lots of black smoke. made me wish i was fueling mine

its black smoke and it was like pooring it out too as if it was in a bind . Not sayin its bad i thought it was cool. Man but if it beat i wouldnt tell NO ONE AT ALL.

They are finding that they can straight pipe it pretty easily. Gonna be fun when the twin turbo setup still cannot keep up with the Dodge mod for mod.

Just waiting and seeing....

This was a old old lady and a kid and she wasnt hot roddin just driving normal im wondering if she wasnt runnin low sulfur diesel maybe yes maybe no?

That's what I would think, burning off the soot in the DPF. The dealership told me all the new trucks do that about once per tankful of fuel.

My buddy has a 08' w/ 13,xxx miles on it. He said for the first 13k miles it didn't smoke at all, then one day he was towing 2 skid loades a couple hundred miles. He noticed that when he would leave from a stop the truck would throw out pretty good puffs of smoke.

He called Ford and they said everything must be normal, just keep driving it.

In my opinion, it's going to be hard to not make these trucks throw a little smoke, they already have intakes out, exausts & tuners.

well being beat does suck but i look at it this way his was new mine is an 01 with 182,500 and it didnt start out with as much power. and i dont have a fueling mod and still did pretty good
