5.9 24 valve

I have a 2001 Dodge 24 valve and I am having a problem when I am in over drive and with the overdrive on I am getting about 2 inches of dead petal
Its like it still does the speed you are holding but you either have to push it down into passing gear or let off to get it to pick up and go. Been told that's that's normal at a low rpm don't know.

Not normal, It sounds like a Throttle Position Sensor going bad. You check the codes yet?

With a 2001 you should be able to do the Key trick to check the codes with out a code reader.

I have been told that it is a common problem that the torque converter locks out and with the air on at a low rpm that's what they do. Somebody told me to get a small programmer and it would fix that

P0460 fuel level sensor a circuit is your gauge working right? also start looking for a bad or loose ground wire or a crossed wire at or near the A/C-O/D wire loom look for rubbed wires start with the simple things first
