Yep. here are a few vids from YouTube where a guy swapped a 4bt and an NV4500 in his Durango.

Pretty uneventful videos, but they are of a 4bt Durango.

I bought some doors from the guy for my truck and I got to see the install. He had just finished it so the install needed to be cleaned up but other than that it seemed that it fit in their nicely. It had a 4bta version in it.

Check out Tennessee Conversions outside of Knoxville.Tn. He will do complete conversion and provides the engine. He advertises on the Cummins 4bt site. I have a 2001 Durango and would like to do the same thing. I have heard that a 2 wd is a bit more of a challenge than a 4 wd. but it can be done. Keep us posted on what you do!! Good Luck!!

I am working on a 99 durango/4bt. 2 wheel drive.
I am building a dual sump pan to keep the oil capacity up instead of loosing the 9 quart capacity. I also have to build the motor mounts. It looks like the trans has to go in before or after the motor. Just too tight to put it in as one piece. I am using a 47 re and hope to have all of the computer working.
I hope to have it going by spring.

www.4btswaps.com is your friend, I've seen a couple conversions over there.

I think a better vehicle for this swamp is a Dodge Nitro. It has a long hood. The older Durango Body seems to work well also.
Having worked around the marine industry all my life, I've seen these 4bt's in many 31ft Bertram Sport fishing boats. They were turboed and pulling 250hp.
I've often thought about kicking that HEMI out of my Durango and trying to put a small diesel in it.
