You may also want to check out the 4btswaps.com website, it's all about the 4cyl cummins.

And yes, they are simply a 5.9 B series with 2 cylinders chopped off.

Many of us adore them......

There are afew 4BT's out there at over 700hp. One is in a little black street drive ford ranger. South Bend has a mudder over 700. Both with P pumps.

They take the same injectors as our 6BT's and respond to the same pump adjustments. Most are 105 to 130 HP in stock form, and are easily tweaked to 200+hp before you need to drop any coin. A lot were non-I/C, a lot more were aftercooled. They're great engines, but they're supposed to be somewhat unbalanced and have a bit of vibration. The few stepvans I've piloted with the 4BT's in them seemed pretty smooth, though.

Its not the site, its the folks that have been there, done that. As far as height, it will be the same as the 6B,6BT,6BTA.

Riflemanusmc is correct on the height. Dry weight on the fully dressed motor is about 800 lbs. I cannot remember the length off hand but I can check tonight when I get home.
