I've owned a 3rd Gen loaded up Laramie, a 12valve, and now have a 24valve. In that order. I've loved all three. They all have +'s and -'s. For me, the decision to sell the 3rd gen was financial (got my wife a nice nice nice Honda Odyssey). I'm more than thrilled with my 24v, and my Odyssey. I like the 6spd, and the long bed, and the loud rattle. The 3rd gens sure are nice, but I'm just as happy with my 2nd gen.

When dodge stopped using the NV trannys New Venture went out of business and the tooling to make these tranny parts was sold off. The search button will produce enough results about this to read untill you are an NVguru.
