Older 2001-2003 D'maxes were more expensive on injectors due to labor with the internal injectors set up. The 2004's and up are cheaper. They will always cost more for injectors then a Cummins because there are two additional injectors or 25% more cost.
One would think that wouldn't they.. But if you scan the threads here and at your favourite DM page, the top posts about the Cummins is not injector failure/repair/replacement or whatever. So sure, the theory is good, but the fuel systems are not the same, same manufacturer, but not the same part.

I like the new publications of the DM holding 650 ft-lbs at 1600... However I have never seen it done as its only available in the Allison. I would like to try it in a manual 6 spd DM but sadly they are only available with the lower power level. Not to mention I think GM sells about 3 manual 6spds a year.

Its nice to see that it only took GM 10 years to catch up to my 97... A 97 could get 650 without buying a single part, just a couple small hand tools.. Oh ya an no uploader Heck my '93 had 680 Ft-lbs....
Aren't electronics wonderful!!!

Why was he paying for injector replacements in the first 200K miles when there is a 7 year/200000 mile warranty?
