265/75 on an 8" wide rim???
Right now I have 285's on an 8" wide rim, but due to tire prices I'm thinkin about going down to 265's. But I dont want them to look mexified, where the rim is wider than the tread and it looks like a pizza cutter. Also whats a good traction/all season tire(good in snow) that will hold up to the torque. I'm not real happy with the milage I'm getting with my Nitto Terragrapplers, less than 15,000 miles and already less than half tread.

I put 265/70s on H2 wheels that are 8.5 inches wide and it looks perfectly normal. The 75s you mentioned will be fine on 8 inch wheels (unless you want to cut pizzas with them)

LT265/75R16/E 123/120R LRE ORWL 52169 7 - 8 10.7 on 7.5 31.8 14 654 3415@80 3085@80 F, DC.
Those are the specs for the Michelin MS that I just installed on my truck. They are rated to be installed on a 7-8 inch rim and give a tread width of 10.7 inches on a 7.5 inch rim. I have used the Michelin MS tire for many years and they give good traction in the snow, don't pick up as many rocks on a gravel road as some. I'm very pleased with them.

I have been looking at the Michelins, but I need more off road traction than the MS's, (thinking about it, those are on my work van. good in snow, but on when I need off road traction). I have been looking at the A/T2's, has anybody used these. Whats your oppinion on them, snow, mud, ice, packed dirt, soft dirt, sand, everything. (great thing about utah is we have almost everything for a driving surface)
Thanks

First as previous poster mentioned my truck came stock with 8 inch rims and 265/75 tires and they looked fine.
Cody- I just put the Michelin at/2's on my truck and 4runner a couple weeks ago. So far they sem to be a good tire. Ride good, very low noise etc. So far they have only seen dry and heavy rain conditions and have been good. They will see some mud within the next few days as I am heading to the mountains for a vacation and it will rain and the roads will be poor so I will find out if they are any good in the mud (fingers are crossed).
