I got my CRD on Saturday. I just finished my first tank....22.5 miles per gallon. And that was with the engine not broken in, towing a trailer at times, and running it hard from red lights.

I think 35-40mpg is expecting a little to much from something so non-aerodynamic. I'd guess 30mpg should be attainable but probably not much higher than that.

A lot of people have heard about the VW TDI cars getting 45 mpg and then they are disappointed by the Liberty CRD. I don't understand why. They are two totally different vehicles. That's the same thing as someone with a Ram 3500 Cummins saying they are disappointed because they get 17 mpg instead of 25 like the Liberty. See what I mean? It makes no sense.

The VW cars are 1.8L engines that only make 90 HP and barely any torque. They weigh hundreds of pounds less. They are aerodynamic. And they are mostly two-wheel-drive. So of course they are going to get awesome mileage.

A Jeep on the other hand, weighs over 4,000 lbs. It's shaped like a brick. It's 4-wheel-drive. And it makes right at 300 lb/ft of torque at 1,800 RPM which is very impressive compared to anything else in it's class. Not to mention, this is the only non-hybrid 4x4 on the planet that will consistently get 20+ mpg that I know of. I traded a Ram 1500 V8 in on this CRD, and my fuel bill each month is literally cut in half now. I am VERY pleased with the mileage on these CRDs for what they are.

You heard right! I have had a box for this thing for over a year! It adds about 20-25 HP on the highest settings. Its uses pressure ( mild ) and works very well. Adds some mileage too

If anyone really wants to crank it up, we can reprogram the ECM as well

Injectors? Yep, got 'em. Turbos? Yep, got 'em.
