2004 SRW truck...
Hi Guys
I'm still waiting to get my title back on my 01 f-350 Single Rear Wheel diesel , My used 96 is a great truck and is going to be my daily driver .
But I am still looking at newer 4x4 trucks ... I'll need one up here in the northeast , I have like 30 grand in aftermarket parts on this ford ...yeah I know ... what was I thinking , I seen a few nice dodge trucks , I really don't want anything new than a 2004 or older than 02 .
I seen a truck that said it was a 2004 diesel 4door 4x4 and it was a 3500 single rear wheel ... Dodge makes them ...?
If I get my title back this week , theres a local dealer that seems to sell a lot of custom trucks ... he has a stock duelly 2002 4x4 , I'll see if he wants to do a even up ... he can make a few bucks off my truck , if not I'll put it on ebay and see what it dose.
My other opption is to rip out the 7.3 and put in a cummins ... and to be honest , I've worked on cars and trucks for a living in the past ... I'm kind-a burned out with all the problems I have had with this ford .
Buy it done .

03 was when they changed body style, and also when they went to the quieter common rail fuel system, and switched to AAM from Dana.
I believe it was also the first year they started offering SRW 1 tons again, which basically adds a set of rear overload springs, cab clearance lights, and a bit more payload capacity.
I think in the long run you would come out better financially to sell the Ford and buy a Dodge, rather than putting a Cummins into a Ford...
Anyway, good luck.
