12valve/24valve block comparison

Twins are in the future for my truck, and Id like to have a block to mock up some. I found a cracked 53 block from a 99. I am 98% positive, but for the purpose of mocking up twins it would lay out the same right? I am sure I can pick up this block for next to nothing, as the same guy is selling a perfect block for 400. Thanks.

I used a 53 block 12V for my mock up. They're close enough to make it work. Remember that the later blocks have 2 bungs for oil drains whereas the older ones don't (you'll need to pull and mod the oil pan).
