I have seen that adding some Acetone to the fuel in small proportional amounts will increase fuel economy. Has anyone really tried it on their CTD and what king of gains were noticed?

 

I tried it and didn't see any increase on the diesel but did it to my buddys gas truck and he seen 1 to 2 mpg increase . I only tried it on 2 tanks full and have used about every additive out thier and had the same results . The crankshaft sensor mod helped about 1.5 mpg and the Quad 65 horse box helped about 1 mpg . I think I will take a hard look at Marco's Smarty programer if it ever comes out for the newer trucks , it really sounds like it will be the ticket for guys looking for mpg .
