Super Low Sulpher Diesel

I read an article on Yahoo! yesterday (but now I can't find it anymore... about the government mandating diesel fuel become "super low sulpher diesel. I have no idea what this means. The government is going to mandate diesel engine manufacturers to make diesel engines by like 2012 or so that will run much more quietly and with a lot less black soot output. I think the two are tied together.

Does anyone have a clue what this means to us CTD owners? Will changing the fuel to a super low sulpher diesel be better or worse for our motors? What about fuel mileage? Price? Gosh, so many many questions!!!
