Snake Oil That Works?

Snake Oil That Works?
My neighbor gave me some of this stuff to try http://www.ca40g.com/home.php
I'm usually highly skeptical of these products and don't even use diesel fuel treatments except for winter anti-gel. I wouldn't even have tried it except it was free.
My JD grain combine has been running 24 hours a day for the last week and consistently uses about 49-51 gallons a day. After adding 7 ozs ($6.50 worth) to the 100 gallon tank and running for two days both fill ups were 43 gallons. It's never been this low before in the last three years. The operators both said the engine sounds quieter and seems to have more power.
I'm convinced and am going to buy a gallon and see what happens in other rigs. Seems like it will more than pay for itself.
Others may want to check it out, has a money back guarantee.

The TDI club has a thread on this stuff. The reviews are mixed, some fellas report a 2 mpg increase and some say no change. They do seem to be inconsistent in there testing environment.

I've been seeing/reading some about this , its from a company in my state , MN , I am suspect of a lot of additive products , I was at Mikes custom trucks yesterday , ND , he had some brochures in his show room , so I asked about it , he is using & happy with it .
I should have bought some , but every time I get to a place like that I am so buisy getting info & work done its hard to stay focused .
Mike knows his stuff , so if he's using a product , I am much more likely to take a second look .
The reason I here today is because of what I found 3 doors down , & I thought you would know some more & or be interested , it was a farmer based buis that was making about 10,000 gals per day of ethanol [ vs methanol ] processed bio-diesel , now this was getting late in the day & we had a 6 hr drive to get home , I would like to have stayed for a day at least to get more info .
They claimed a far better fuel that methanol processed bio for a lot of reasons , they make there own alcohol [ not from oil co ] , not as hazardous to work with , much lower gel points , neat 12.2 *F , 5% -61.6*F , 10% -65.2 *F , 20% -50.8*F , 50% -16.6*F . , centane was 63 .
I had just spent a bunch of money at Mike's so I could only buy 50 gal. , drove home & the eng ran different , smother , less clatter , about 20-50 less ETGs , lower boost about 2-3 lbs .
oopps I just hi-jacked your thread .
