Ot

Now I am REALLY bugged.\
I remember the quote from a bosch meeting schedule that said they didn't think bosch had thought of future low sulphur fuels when they designed the VP44.

NOW WE ARE DEALING WITH "ULTRA" LOW. Holy crap. Is our stuff all gonna fall apart. Will more lucas upper cylinder lubricant take up the slack??? Do I need to bottles per tank instead of one.

I like how dodge OR CUMMINS...is not officially commenting on the deal.
I thought that if something changes through operation of law or government...you can't really get sued anyway...so why don't they at least give us some advise????????
You know.
Add oil to diesel??? (OR, if it's like the coatings industry...they can't give you advice that would change the VOC content coming out of your exhaust...or they can be fined someting like 15,000 bucks per occurence. If this is the case, I don't blame them...>But at least they should "leak" the solution to the problem.

I know, in the end, we're screwed, unless we have a very old 12 valve.

My feeling is that people claiming problems with ULSD are full of BS.
I hang out at a couple of OTR message boards and the story I'm hearing is that hardly anyone is having problems.
Take a look at this article about numerous municipal fleets, literary tens of thousands of vehicles from bulldozers to trash trucks, that have been using ULSD since 2001 with no problems at all.

I spoke with some guys who work for Cummins and they told me they have seen a great increse in work being done on injectors and fuel pumps with the ULSD. I asked them what they recommended and they told they did not recommend anything because they worked for Cummins. I reworded my question to ."What do all the mechanics who work here used in there trucks?" They said they all use Lucas. I started using Lucas and found my truck ran better and I am getting about 2 to 3 more MPG. I went on line and found I could order it by the case and save a lot of money. It more than pays for itself and I am sold on it. Any one else getting these results?

Lucas... what?I mean specifically, what's it called? 'Fuel Additive'? 'Conditioner'? I'd like to try it but don't know what to look for.

Thanks!
