n00b question here......

Hello all, as you can see, I'm very new to the site. I am very motivated to purchase a CTD soon. I am attracted mostly to their longevity when properly maintained. A question I have is, can I go from regular diesel to Bio-diesel while using the same fuel filter and back-n-forth?

Depending on the year, just fill the tank with Biodiesel and roll. I would have several extra fuel filters on hand since Bio cleans out the tank and fuel lines. From a lot of stuff that I have read, I would not switch back and forth a lot. Biodiesel tends to lube seals very well and they expand, diesel will then dry them out and it can cause problems with seals. I am no expert, but that is just my two cents.

some diesel mechanics only recommend a max of B5 for the common rails. Cummins recommends the same, but gov't/fleet vehicles can run B20.
