home heating oil?
I found a fuel station with a sign that says home heating oil for 4.49 in my area. i know it is #2 diesel but is there any ill effects to using this fuel and is it legal? considering one fuel station that has #1 diesel for 4.69 which is a steal in my area, most are 4.79-4.99, i dont mind saving a few bucks on a fill up.

is it dyed red? or another off-hwy use color, like Blue (marine)?
If it is, and you are seen putting it in your truck, or get caught with it in your fuel tank, then the long arm of the law is gonna have a field day with you. Although the chances of getting caught are slim, the penalties are stiff from what I hear. I hate being the bearer of bad news
If the fuel is clear or yellow-ish or green-ish I might try it in small quantities at first, unless you've talked to other people you trust who swear by it: then , heck...run it straight if its 50 cents a gallon cheaper.
Ultimately, your choice.
