griesel fuel?

I did a search and cant find anything on this, I have seen systems that use grease from straight fryers, its a tank that uses your own cooling system for heat and a filter system, you can collect grease on the road, the theory being to run your diesel on "diesel" till it warms up then switch to the tank in the back, then 10 minutes before you stop just flip the switch back to diesel to purge the lines, the system is a one stop shop as far as I know, anybody have experience with it? it does say that its not recomended for 99-2002 trucks. I found it at griesel.com I am sure that I am a little late with this idea.

There's a better forum at http://www.greasecar.com/forum_view.cfm?frmID=1
if you'd like to know more. Also try http://www.plantdrive.com/ and http://www.frybrid.com/test.htm , they both have forums as well I think.

Someone recently posted on greasecar that they had converted a 3rd gen CTD and had several hundred miles with no problems. You lose some bedspace (maybe you could disguise the tank as a toolbox?), not to mention whatever is left of your warranty . Otherwise, sounds like a great idea. If diesel stays as high as it is now, and I can find a clean, reliable WVO source, I might do it after my 7/70 is up.

The other option is to brew your own biodiesel, no truck mods required.
