Citgo Petro Exspress

What is the true story behind this company ?I keep getting emails to boycott them because of ties to anti American factions . It seems like if it were true the government would seize there assets in the US . Hopefully someone here has the answers , I am confused .

Citgo is a state owned Venezuela (Hugo Chavez) company. He's using the oil revenue to finance his own agenda.

A boycott would make zero difference. It is a complicated situation. Read about it and make your own decisions.

^^^ That was a waste of time. Chavez wants to take his country out of poverty and put ours into it...I'll buy my fuel elsewhere thanks. This should go in the all-politics forum.

All the ones in my area have turned into Texaco stations. This REALLY confused me, just haven't taken the time to look into it though. Still not buying my fuel there.

I won't buy fuel there either. I tell everyone I know not to either. It will make a difference if the word gets out. Many don't have any idea of it.

I pass the Citgo for those reasons. Hugo has been making it very tempting however. They're usually cheaper than everyone else but I eventually manage to find someone within a penny or two.

I have watched the fuel tanker deliver at a Mobil station, and then go to the Citgo station and deliver more fuel. I don't give Hugo any of my business, and several stations in the area have "switched" from Citgo to other brands. But when I see the tanker at Mobil, and Citgo, is the money really going to Hugo ???

Hugo basically believes that america deserves to be attacked by terrorists...

It is our fault, blah blah blah.

I dont know if he is connected to the Jihad, but he does sympathize with them.

Pretty funny how he seemingly hates americans, yet this is where he makes his money

The boycott has made a difference. Hence the name change to Petro Express and the rock bottom prices. He has to do something to bring in the customers.

I say hit em where it hurts....in the pocket book

This has left the Diesel fuel discussion envelope and wandered into political territory.....
