Acetone in Diesel Fuel

A friend just sent me an extensive article on the benefits of adding a small amount (1 oz per 10 gal) of acetone to gas or diesel fuel to help vaporize the fuel for better performance and mileage. You can read it yourself at:
www.PureEnergySystems.com. Scroll on down to Tier 3. I think that personally I'll be a little hesitant to add something to my fuel that might hurt that mighty Cummins..........but then again, with the escalating cost of fuel.........??? What do you guys think ??

its a great way to get even with crooks I still laugh, the "Friend" who stole my jeep took the can of gas i had attached on the back which was full of acetone and fuel.... premixed ratio for a 55 gallon drum that i was planning on adding it to. little hot ya know. He may have stolen my jeep , my guns, and my tool box and several otherthings hours before i was to leave to California for a new job but i got the last laugh when i heard that the cops found the re-vin plated jeep on the side of Highway 200 in the middle of a snow storm with the pistons melted to the block and an empty jerry can inside the jeep two weeks later.

Wonder if that fool ever made it home

As to the acetone in fuel we used to use it as poor mans race fuel in a couple of vehicles at demo derbys 12 tablespoons to 55 gallons 20 tablespoons and things started melting pretty quick IIRC it been a few years since then

I had a 1992 F-350 with a non-turbo 7.3 and I ran 3 oz of Acetone to 10 gal fuel, religously until my acetone was done (boy that stuff is cold) I did pickup some MPG (about 1.3 on average), and that was through aprox 5-6 tank fulls. I do not know if i would try it on a newer truck though, but it helped starting and didnt seem to do as much black smoke. I didnt care much about the truck though

I tested it for about a month. It made no difference for me.
