swapping 12 valve into 2001 F350
Thought you guys would get a kick out of this. I bought a 01 f350 for the 4 doors to haul my kids. I drove the truck home from N.C. and hated every mile of it listening to that power joke under the hood. Once around the block in the 12 valve and I was cured. I didnt do anything with the f350 for 3 weeks while deciding when to do the swap but a vacation came up and had to title and register it. How does it show it's gratitude, it breaks down while pulling my goose neck in down town U.S.A.
$475 later the ford dealer has it fixed.
Any hoo, my engine swap date has been moved up on the calender. I wont have an engine computer bring my truck down again
some questions
Has anyone here used Destroked parts for any swaps? Chris tells me everything in the truck will work even the cruise control. Any rebuffs?
When pulling the 12 valve. Must I use a leveling bar? Seems like a chain set up will bend the cowl on the Dodge.
thanks for the help

Been away for a while. VERY busy. I finally started the swap (6/08) and then
ran into some problems. Go the tranny tuned up with shift kit pump mods billet tq. Went to install the motor today and discovered that the autoworld mounts leave a little to be desired.
I cant make heads or tails. I got the pictures they sent with the mounts but
they are so vague. The way I see it if the holes arent drilled right(the instructions dont say how) the motor isnt going to fit right
Anyone use different mounts?
please tell
thanks
