Bruiser, your thread has inspired me, thank you. I see you kept the '85 dash. What did you do about the diesel specific gauges? Also the '85 was an auto and you switch to manual, again what did you do about the dash and gear indicator. One last thing, did your CTD have a delay on the wipers? I ask because I have an '85 manual and will be putting an auto into it.

Got rid of them

only gauges I have are odo, fuel, pyro and tach.
I tap fuel filter to make sure if there is water it comes out.. I also change filter often. as for grid heaters I have them on a switch that I can turn on and off in the winter as I want.. same with KSB it is on a switch now.

only thing I need to add for me to feel safe is engine temp gauge

as for gear indicator that was in dash I just took it out and cover the area up with some black plastic.

well towing home from the flats I blew a tire and the tread ripped off and smashed rear of bed but luckily we were all safe

and since my tires were 16.5 i could not find any decent load E tires.. so I upgraded to some 17" rims and some load E tires

Looks great! I think those H2 wheels look good on all Dodge trucks, i'm thinking about a set for my 05. That really stinks about the bed though, all that hard work and now you have to do some of it again . It looks great though, wish it was mine!

Still in the same condition as last year! I kinda lost temporary interest, then the heat set in and after working outside all day long I really don't have energy to work on the truck. I will not give up though. We are leaving tonight for vacation and when I return I am going to force myself to start doing something on the truck. My wife is on my case to go camping and I need the truck to pull the camper. In the mean time I just went and picked up a Hydra-Sports bass boat that used to belong to my wife's Papaw. He passed away about two years ago this month. I now have another project to work on.Wheeeew!! Am i crazy or what? Didn't mean to ramble...refer to first sentence Oh! Congratulations on your new family addition and a new job! Take care

By the way, I like the new rims much better than the other ones!! Very sharp, really sets the truck off.
