Why No Diesels at any "Pinks All Out" events???
I was at a huge Pinks All Out event in Memphis on the same weekend at the TS race, and was not surprised in any way that no diesels were there, as they obviously were gonna be at the "Diesel" event. But when I asked around to the the promoters and event organizers, they pointed out they have nothing against diesels competing, they just dont get any entries.........even at their other events that dont coincide with a big diesel show. In fact, they said the only time they had a sub 11sec. diesel in the field, it made the show in final 16 and then won it's 1st race to make it to the final 8 where it lost by less than .01 sec.
So, I'm wondering why this is??????? It would be awesome to see, even if they were just the exibition drags, Shieds dragster, Stuckey Racing, Dr. Performance predator truck, or any number of other diesel dragsters running sub 10's inthe 1/4mi. I may be the only one who thinks it would be a great venue to showcase the technology advancement and improve our sports image with the rest of the drag racing community.

I caught a 4wd diesel vs. an s-10 a while back. i believe the diesel won. the dude in the s-10 said "he has two power adders, a turbo and nitrous" whining like a baby. Excellent race though.

That was the original "Pinks" show where the winner took the loser's vehicle.
The Dodge was sponsored by a diesel performance manufacturer.
The S-10 was "sandbagging" BIG TIME, and he ultimately lost because he was so busy whining about the diesel, and trying to get him to overheat by stalling before coming to the line for the final race,
(the diesel punctured the radiator on the 2nd run and ran the last run with NO water in the cooling system)
that the moron forgot to change his nitrous bottle, running dry at 1/2 track.
There was a Chubby diesel in the running a few weeks ago on P.A.O.

That was Darren Morrisons truck and Mickey Davis was driving it. Darren said there were 17,000 people there and his truck was the favorite. Everyone was yelling "Diesel-Diesel-Diesel" and when Mickey finally got put out, the croud was booing the winner. They had a great time.

Dang, three diesels out of 4-500 entries, at least thats better than the 0 we had at Memphis. I'm positive there would have been at least a few last weekend if it hadn't been for the giant TS drag event going on the same time only 4hrs away. But what I was really wondering is about the extreme end and exhibition trucks and dragsters that would almost be guaranteed at least some coverage in the show.
On a side note, as I know they have done a few special episodes with motorcycles/quads/etc., the time may be right to try and convince the producers to do a "diesel power" special, because Rich (who is from the heart of diesel country Iowa), Ken Harring (from Texas), and Willie B. (who grew up in Kentucky farm country) have all stated their amazing interest in this growing side of drag racing!!!!!!!!!
