Nobody...quick question.

Do you have the "bigger" housing on the A5k and what was your boost/temp at the end of your 1/4?

Man..that is fast.

Haulin butt!

and A5K's rock!
the slower the truck the better the e.t. will be with a lock up, it also depends on how the tranny is built, he has a HTS so his tranny is top notch, he will see 2-3 tenths at the most. on trucks this fast the last thing you want to do is lock in first, or you will have many broken tranny parts----i had to learn the hard way. even second is tough on stuff.......

Cquestad,
I have the "large" housing according to my receipt on my A5k.

I know you can also run a "small" housing for the people wanting faster spool and of course the "twin" turbo primary housing which is largest.
The duramax housing is also in the mix if not the same as one of the housings listed above.

Thanks Tim, I appreciate all your help. Very Interested in bigger Sticks. Give me a call when you get a chance.

Thanks Wade, the A5K spools surprisingly quick with the big sticks down here at sea level. Planning on hooking up the converter lock up switch this week if the weather here cooperates. 11's on fuel is where I'd like to be. No, there are quite a few fast common rail Dodge's (listed above).

And Yea, you'll be seeing my tail lights in Vegas this year.

Six months ago I thought I'd never say this, but I do want to THANK you, Mike, and Clint for helping me in my situation and making it right. I'm real excited to get the new head and nitrous hooked up. Should be a fun year...

Thanks again,
John
Well then, I suppose we'll meet up in Vegas!! But you better bring your A-Game big guy because your gonna need it!

But on another note, I'm glad that things finally got worked out and we can all move past this and have some fun this year, after all, that's what it's all about right?

Cheers,
Wade

I am using the A5K from the compounds. I saw about 55-57 psi/ just about 1600 deg. EGT.

Don't get nervous yet! I am working on a few things you can get nervous about.
Thanks,
John

I am not that quick yet...

I have a couple of 12.8's...

I am rolling heavy and tall with 37's...and only 575 hp. My truck wears too many hats.

But not for long...

That is where your top end is...going through your wastegate!

That boost seems realy low to "burn" the amont of fuel your pushing.

I hit 54 psi with a bigger turbo at 575 hp.

ok but boost is a measurement of restriction right?
well i lost 10-12psi by going to the maxspool1 camshaft, so i really picked up a lot of air flow but dropped boost, at this point i think i need more fuel.

but explain how more boost would give me more top end? all of my vids show zero smoke. thanks
