I am working on a few different things with the truck, and was really anxious to get to the track. Overall I think the truck did really well. It pulled real hard all the way through the 1/4. Next week I am planning to hook up my torque converter lock up controller, and try a few other things. I would really like to see an 11 second pass before I hook up the nitrous. This setup is unbelievable and I'm not quite sure what this truck will be capable of with this setup. My best 60' time has been 1.60 sec. Friday night I only had a best 60' of 1.74 sec, I believe. I am still trying to figure out the sweet spot (boost psi) on this turbo to launch at.


I am apologizing in advance for my cameraman (no offense, Hank!) but the quality is horrible. It is of the 12.09 pass. I will try to get videos of the other ones up soon.

John I guess the scary larry got rid of the top speed govn. Great runs looked almost smokeless after launch. We might have to get even bigger sticks in there soon. Tim

Is the "Scary Larry" what is helping that Tim?? I had thought some of the other CR Trucks built previously had run those too?? I can't wait to see you and Bobby run your trucks at MATR. BTW, what is the date you guys are planning on going to Richmond?? I want to come up there and run with you guys Tim! Maybe I can get some of the guys from down here to come up too.

Congrats!! That's gotta be the fastest fuel only common rail I've heard of, anybody else running quicker with proof??

Thanks Wade, the A5K spools surprisingly quick with the big sticks down here at sea level. Planning on hooking up the converter lock up switch this week if the weather here cooperates. 11's on fuel is where I'd like to be. No, there are quite a few fast common rail Dodge's (listed above).

And Yea, you'll be seeing my tail lights in Vegas this year.

Six months ago I thought I'd never say this, but I do want to THANK you, Mike, and Clint for helping me in my situation and making it right. I'm real excited to get the new head and nitrous hooked up. Should be a fun year...

Yep def. need a lockup switch. It really helps out my times. Lock it up as soon as she hits 2nd

 

That quick with no lock up??????????? I know every converter is different, but my truck runs .4 or .5 quicker if I get locked at the right rpm in 1st!
