anyone heard anything about the truck show/dyno/drag or w/e it is at diesel innovations in houston tx. on oct. 13, 14, 15? i want to go!

 

yup!
on Fri, there is a party in the Diesel Innovations parking lot, $10 buys you a steak and baked potatoe, bring something to drink, possibly alcoholic. There will also be a dyno going on, bull session, etc, etc.

Sat and Sunday there will be drag racing at Baytown, and also sled pulling. $35 or so will buy you all the hooks to the sled you want

FRIDAY October 13, I was there early last year. Things were happening by noon. It was a blast last year and should be even bigger and better this year.

 

I am definately going to make it down to the DHRA events at Baytown. I have never been to Diesel Innovations event though. So I may try to make it by there before going to Big Blue's place.

It would be nice to meet some of you guys in person. I have been reading your threads for almost 2 years now....

I wouldn't know you if you walked up to me, but i'd recognize your trucks...

 

can somebody tell me some hotels to stay in a decent area, for a decent price? for that weekend.

There is a list of hotel/motels on the Houston Raceway Park website that is mainly in and around Baytown. About 8-10 miles from the track. The group at Garth road and I-10 are normal Holiday Inn Express bunch and in my normal price/accomadation level. For a little higher class you have to get closer in to Houston, then your choices are just about anything. But you will be probably 25 miles from the track and 25 miles from DI location.
