The reason its not safe at a pull is that turbo's have a habit of exloding, and with the crowd that close to the action it can get messy.

That was a fun pull to watch, must have been 80 trucks or more...

Kind of agonizing waiting for the diesels to run. Watching every other gasser break a drive shaft gets kind of old.

Looks like Tom had a bad night...

What happened?

 

I wasn't there but heard he might have picked the wrong gear and there poping coming from the motor. That's just what I heard, but you know how that goes.

 

Just wondering if anyone has the full results and wouldnt mind posting them.

Yep. First run in the diesel class & the boo birds came out...
On another note, anyone know what setup Nick D'Amico was running? In the West Coast Diesel Power Challenge, his truck was running a lot of "drugs", but not allowed for these pulls. Also, seeing the grey DMax break his pintel hitch, then borrow another one only to snap a ujoint and twist his shaft was kinda entertaining.

 

yea the whole night was cool.. but man i was dying waiting for the diesels to start!!! plus i was sitting to the official dodge haters fan club.. the sad part was that there was only 2 d-maxes and only 2 fords and a whole bunch of dodges, but the d-max won!!! also, how come not one diesel had offroad tires? it looked like they all had regular street tires on.. i mean wouldent that of made a huge differance in traction? maby a cummins could of beat the dmax.. ohh well it was still cool.. ohh except for the fact that the beer booth closed at 9:30!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just for the record Nick In his Dmax was not running any drugs but does have dual CP3,s
