TRACTOR PULL LYNNVILLE, Tennessee August 26th, 2006
Any of you Tennessee boys interested in going to a good tractor pull on Saturday in Lynnville, TN. It's saturday and they said they were gonna start pulling at 5pm. I went last year and liked it a lot. Not a huge crowd like Chapel Hill. $8 for adults, like $4 for 7-12 and 6-under are free. They are having antique tractor pull, stock non turbo, stock turbo, hot stock, farm truck gas engine and farm truck diesel. I think they allowed air filter and chip on the diesels. I think it was $15 to hook up. I'll be there in the beast around 5'ish. If you go I65 south to exit 27, Lynnville/Cornersville exit. It's down in town across from the Co-Op, I think it's Richland park. It's a neat setup, we dropped the tailgate on the truck last year and watched from the hillside. It was a blast! A bunch of the stuff was tractors either trailered or driven in off the farm!!

Me and the kids went out there last night. Got there around 6pm and it was already going. I think the tractors were done around 10:30 or so. They had two turbo semi's to pull. One was an international rollback truck!! And the other was the 1974 something that had a huge tank of water on the back, it was the water truck for spraying the track down!! That was funny!! They had several Dodge trucks there. One was a long flatbed with a stack, another was a longbed, extended cab with a single stack and then there was the guy from Mississippi in a red 1996 I think it was. Must have had a 5 inch exhaust and that thing was awesome!! He blew black smoke all over the people sitting down along the track!! They were jumping up and running back as he went by!! He pulled 273 and the guy in the extended cab pulled again and went 276. I was thinking I should have paid the $15 and hooked up just for the fun of it....but I did'nt.
We left at 12:30 they had a couple unlimited 2wd's, meaning LARGE farm tractors, i.e 6030JD, Allis-Chalmers, Whites. They had to stop the guy in the John Deere!! The weight box came up to the front and the Deere just kept on going!! They finally flagged him to stop at 450 some odd feet!!! There is one in October on the 7th. I'll post that info today
