BTW...she has a speeding ticket, 125MPH on the PA Turnpike coming home from work one night! I hope she learned a lesson after that one. There is no way my truck will do 126.

A race is when both drivers KNOW they are in one.
0-60 is one thing. How about 1/4mile? That's where the cummins will make up the ground. My guess would be an eclipse would be somewhere in mid 14's if not 15's.

I know muscle car guys, love their muscle cars. I love muscle cars also, but they're slow in stock form! It takes ALOT of work to a carbed motor to get where the new fuel injected motors are today. 94-97 manual t/a's and z28's were known for easily hitting high 13's, and the 98'02 T/a's and Z28's, including the automatics, were known for high 12's to very low 13's in stock trim (i used to own a shop where we specialized in building GM Fuel injected performance cars). So compared to today's cars, the eclipses are what a pento was to a 60's 70's era muscle car. If you get the chance to test drive a 98-up z28 or T/A, do it! you may not like the car's, but they'll put a smile on your face and an appreciation for the motor's they're building for the new muscle cars.

As for the civic i passed on the right, there were no cars on the highway at 12AM, and with my understanding of streetracing (yes i was guilty of doing it a few years back, have since grown up of it, but occasionally will) it doesn't matter right lane or left lane.

For Ohio, the laws say no pass on right, 90% of people do, i won't in traffic/ normal driving, my girlfriend does, irritates the **** outta me, and had no idea that it was supposedly illegal. Anyone that drives through traffic in this area of the state, will realize you won't see any cops on the highway during normal business hours. The one or two you may see, almost cause an accident b/c of the guy that's not paying attention flying in the fast lane, will all the sudden slam on his brakes when he see's the cop in the median when he's two car lengths away.

Weve got a lot of rice up here and they tend to drive like they just watched 'fast and furious' or something. I spot a lowrider civic bouncing over manhole covers like the batmobile and my first thought is hes going to drive like an *** and usually Im not disappointed. We got the crazy road ragers too, the type that'll put you into a guard rail and pull over to finish the job. Too bad it takes an act of god to get an open carry permit here
The smoke on these trucks just adds another whole level of fun. Ive seen a lot of tailgaters that back off and stay backed off once you lay on the coal. Maybe they think the truck is about to catch fire or something?

We were visiting a 4X4 performance shop in CT, sitting in a parking lot waiting for the CR to cool down, and I felt a "THUMP" on the truck; I looked back and couldn't see anything, so I hollered at my guys "something hit me" so they'd go take a look.... all of a sudden they're waving & pointing, and this dude my age comes up to the open driver's door spouting effusive apologies for driving into the back of the truck. My guys were hollering "he wrapped his front end around your stinger!" - I just looked down at him and said "don't worry about it Bubba; I keep that stinger back there for guys that drive like you "

Funniest part was, he didn't even bother to back out of my rear "parts"... I half expected his front clip was going to follow us when we drove away 15 minutes later!

My buddy has a Lancer Evo. That thing will go, but mostly it handles great.

I did have an Eclipse pull up beside me on the way home from work the other night, starting reving and all that. So, I stomped it (NOITCE: I need a Clutch!) It was slipping and he gases it and I still outran him to get the pass!

Ha! Then he decides to hang his hand out the window as to race for money.
