Sled Pulling, truck falls on face at end

I've done two pulls so far this summer, and both pulls have been good, but at the end of my pull, I don't have enough power to keep the turbo lit and the wheels spinning. It dies so fast at the end it even kills the motor before I can get the clutch in.

I think it's because this year I added the HTT Killer Bee 64/14, and I just don't have enough fuel for it at the end.

Anyone have any suggestions for me on how to get more out of it towards the end of my pull (power adders, etc)?

Thanks.

You could go with a smarty for more fuel or upgrading your comp to the drag version. Or bigger injectors.

I'm pulling in 2nd gear high range.

Is 4th gear low, a slower speed than 2nd high?

I am running the Haisley A.D.D. instead of the drag comp version to give me fuel up to 3400rpms.

I believe it is a little slower maybe pourindiesel will chime in he'll know gear ratio have ever dynoed? Your truck looks to be plenty powerful for that gear. is the track you were pullin on real sticky? how were other people? A 550hp truck should be able to run in second hi

Get some bigger injectors in that thing. At least 7x.012" for pulling....
Also you want to stay on top of things strap on a 2.8 charger (ie Aurora 5000).

Drag Comp will do you just fine into the 3500+/- area.

Ditch the BHAF for an AFE intake.

2nd gear hi is around 28mph or so and 4th low range is around 21mph.

You might try some all terrain tires it will let you spin the tires easier and not bog you down so much on the tight tracks.

Thanks for the input guys.

I'm dyno'd at 520rwhp. Both tracks were sticky clay.

I'm only hitting 1200 degrees, so maybe I'll watch for some bigger sticks, at least to put in for pulling. Little worried going bigger on sticks for daily driving because sometimes I haul heavy loads. At least it's easy to change injectors on this thing.

Maybe we'll try 4 low next time too, and borrow a set of 33" AT's from my buddy to try.

Anyone think a redline box would help?

I would say injectors. looks like you have a good clutch and other stuff you have a good start on mods. nothing againist haisley machine they build awesome trucks of their own but they have list prices and they are way to high. you can get alot more for your money elsewhere. certain companies make huge quality injectors you just have to ask around on here for who makes them

Yes, I agree. Pretty impressed with my DDP stage 3's, for being rated at 100hp, and I believe I got those from my sponsor for $600. I'll see what he can do and keep my open here for set of used ones. Like I said, I can always change them out on a Friday night for the weekend pulls.

I had DDP stage5+ in my 01. The were a very well manored injector. They didn't smoke unless I wanted them to. I'd got with some bigger sticks.
Is your pickup a SO or HO. I'm guessing at 520RWHP it's an SO. I'd also go down to 4th low unless you go with a big set of injectors.

I would contact formula one diesel and see what they can do for you. guys on here say there are well made injectors. a local truck had ddp injectors and they were sold to him as high hp injectors. come to find out they were only around 100hp. im not cutting on ddp, just stating what was said by the owner. the way I see it is, any company that has a pulling truck is not going to sell you the baddest thing they have. they will sell you something close but not as strong as what they run, if they did you could beat them.
