Bringing this back up to the top.
I'm hoping the weather is going to cooperate with this event. I don't know what the track looks like, so I don't know how much rain they can get today and tonight and still be able to run tomorrow. I'm going to call and see if I can get some more info. I'll post any new develpments.
The weather report says rain ending by morning, a little windy and a high of 68*

Update

Just got off the phone with Eli (one of the event guys) and he said the track is covered. It just started sprinkling here and suppose to do that on and off till after dark when it is suppose to get heavier. According to the forecast, rain is suppose to stop by morning. They will be at the track bright and early in the morning to inspect the conditions. I believe he said they would start pulling at 2:00pm. If they do decide to cancel, rain date will be next weekend. As long as we don't get a gully-washer overnight, it should be good to go.

I'll post any further info as it becomes available since I'm only about 30 minutes from the track.

Yeah, same here. I was very happy when he said they have the track covered. (Closest thing to a "Yippee!" smiley I could find).
I plan to be there around noon, or a little after, after stopping at Trailer Outlet, next door to Rattlin's house, and picking up a new tire for the trailer (Ya'll hear about it exploding at the drag races last weekend? I swear I wasn't running it down the track.). I'm running the spare now, so I'll be able to pull a broke truck if there is one.
Oh yeah, gotta stop an Agri-Supply while I'm down there, too.
If you believe the weather liar, ahem, man, the rain should be scooting out of here quickly tomorrow morning.

Hey Chris,
Give me a hollar on the phone when ya get down around my way. I'm suppose to be working 4 to 12 shift, but already told the boss man to expect a phone call if the weather was decent.

We got blue skies and sunshine as of right now. Going to call the fella at the track to see what their plans are, but I would venture to say they will be going on as scheduled.

I didn't get a hold of the guys at the track, but I'm leaving to meet Stamey and then head out to the track. The sun is shining bright and the wind is blowing and it's close to 70* right now,,,, so it shouldn't take long to dry things out, plus having the track covered during the rain helped I'm sure.

Y'all come on out!

Nope, I didn't get second. I got third with 268 ft. I could have probably taken first if I had not forgotten and let my Comp on 1x1.
At that time I nuked the spider gears on the p-lok, so I couldn't run in the other class I entered.
Thread about the spiders gears in the Secnd Gen Performance forum.
