should i risk it??
the local pulls are this thursday and im wanting to compete bad. the thing is i dont know if i should risk it... i will have to have the truck the sat after to bring the trailer home from that fair
i think i would be competing in tsomething like the 8000lb stock class.
my question to all of you that have pulled before do you think i could pull it off? i was thinking i might be allright since im close to stock but what do ya'll think?
also would i have proablems or be more prone to breakage since my toyo"s are fairly new? also what would i launch in 3rd low? 4th low? and how
i have never pulled a truck before but have always wanted to since i was a little kid so all advice on the subject is appreciated.

You should go for it just be smart about it since it's your first pull and don't try and shift during the pull let the truck do the work. Just remember it's a Dodge and if you take care of it the truck will make you proud, mine has never let me down. Good luck and make sure there is video.

You will be fine. Pull third low, and come out of the hole no higher than 2000rmps, but try and hold it steady there as you are coming out of the hole. I pulled with about that same set up all last summer and had no probs. good luck!

You'll be fine I had 6 hooks on my stock clutch and still held fine buddies hook theres once or twice a year with stock clutch. I agree with 07dodge no higher than 2000 rpms and get out of the clutch as soon as you feel the tires grab and ur good as gold might not win but you'll have fun I guarantee that.

I was able to pull 4th gear low with 35's and a DD clutch and smarty last year. I say give it hell put it in 4th rev it to 3000rpm and let the clutch out slowly until the tires start spiningthen let it out completly. Brandon he's got the same deal that dustin had at the beggining of the summer and he's always pulled 4thgear low

Go with 4th low and you will be fine. Not sure of turbo but make sure you have it around 3000 or more when starting get a little boosted coming up and then let out. The faster you are off the clutch the more power and speed you are going to have.

If your on a stock clutch and go 4th low 3000rpm I'm guessing you will go about 40ft with enough clutch smoke to smoke out the audience expecially with a 35inch mud tire. I'm still saying 3rd low.

With your DD clutch and smarty you should have no problum going in 4th low.
My last pull I went in 4th low and before I left the starting line I was at 3400 RPM and 40 pounds of boost. When I let the clutch out all the way I went down to 3000 RPM for a few seconds. Also my tires are 37's
Smarty on 7 TST on 2/2 is where I set my programers.
