If its anything like my 03 you're gonna wheel hop really bad. Long as you dont have a problem beating the crap out of ujoints, go for it. I've seen a couple bone stock trucks hook up to the sled without a problem. As soon as I get my twins in Im planning on feeding some ferds my dirt.

if you drive your truck to and from work...and dont have money for a new clutch...i would sit and watch.
some guys can pull once or twice and be ok on the stock clutch, but all it takes is one time slipping too much and you can be dead in the water.

I agree with getblown... I didn't have problems when I hooked as far as hopping, but I slipped my clutch way too much, and know I have to change mine out. I already have a new clutch on order, and I have made it a rule to myself to only hook once a year. Another friend pulled twice on his stock clutch, and had the clutch weld to the flywheel. They pulled it off and laid a straight edge on the flywheel, had at least a sixteenth of an inch of warpage to it.
Personally I enjoyed pulling my truck, don't expect to get very far your first time pulling, and be prepared for anything you might tear up. I'd take it up to 3k RPMs and try not to ride the clutch for more than 50 feet. If you're worried about hopping and the rules allow it, definitely block the rear suspension. And oh yeah, don't forget to put it in 4lo before you pull (we still give him a hard time a few years later)
