Please post your 1/8 mile times and Dyno #s
I am curious to see some 1/8 mile times on here from you guys along with your dyno numbers. I am interested to see how my 1/8 mile times equate to my last dyno readings.
Best time was 8.6 @ 83mph
Thanks in advanced

When I dynoed 471hp and 998lbs I ran a 8.32 with a 1.75 60 foot. Now that I've changed to the sledpuller 66 and Mach 4s I've ran a 8.21. My 60 foots are usually in the 1.66 to 1.77 range.

That Mustang dyno is probably going to read a little low compared to a Dynojet or dyno dynamics. What size tires are you running and what were your 60 foot times?

ctd2001, Without a billet intermediate I wouldn't spend tooo much time above 12psi boost staged....from personal experience.... I got 1.89 60foot with my laggy twins with an 8psi stage and a 12psi launch...and that was at 9200#. I was sucking from the 60foot to the 1/8 but I think I have that beat....I'll post my times when I get home on Tuesday from the strip....I'm in Ontario finishing off the work on the setup and picking up the spare Cummins and then I'm going to WV for the pulls (to look...) and pick up some jeep tires then back to Maine..... I might dyno again at Diesel Fuel Systems....but I'll spend a lot more time strapping that's for sure. ks

Hmmm, RJ that makes me want to try even shorter tires on my rig. Like 265s or 245s. I ran the 8.21 with a 1.66 60 foot and a 23 psi launch and my usual 1.75 60 foot times at 15 psi usually give me 8.30 to 8.32 also with the 285s and you have quite a bit more hp than I do.

Fred , in Florida (Offshoreracer) made a great point to me a while back. He suggests being at redline (3300 rpm) at the 1/4 mile pole for best ET! Makes sense to be at least 3100 or 3200...No?
With 315's, I'm at 2800 rpm at 110 mph.... so smaller tires would make big difference. BUT, I don't think I would go smaller than 285's because...narrower tread of 265's may spin all four wheels. I've heard of this on 245's and some on 265's at 600 hp... but I don't know if it's over boosting, groundless bragging... or fact?
It's just my gut feeling but I suspect 285 Michelins (because they have 65 psi limit) may be perfect. Just have to experiment to find out, I guess.
MC - Let us know if you try smaller! What's your RPM at 110 +/-?
