Outrun by a Dmax

I like to think he was skeert. This guy went smoking tires past me at a light the other morning, and when I looked over to my left to see what all the commotion was, he was looking at me. As he was passing me, spinning tires. I hadn't even noticed him until then. He blasted up the highway, and then got off on the next ramp, which is where I was headed. He slowed up enough that I was right behind him on the ramp, which was long, straight, and downhill, with a long merge area onto the next highway. We both floored it (I actually stood up in the seat to stomp my pedal better) and he left me wayyyyy behind. Not even close man. He got way up ahead, and slowed down enough that I caught up after about 4 miles. I pulled up beside him in the right lane, grinned and gave him a thumbs up, like "yeah, you got me, nice truck" and he flipped me off. Oh well.

I like to think I built my truck for pulling trailers, not racing, but that made me wish the ol beast was a little faster. He had some serious aftermarket HP though.

Win some, lose some.... there's always a faster gun. I got spanked by one of those new GTO's the other day if it makes you feel better. He must have been... oh, a good car lenght ahead of me when I let off at 60mph...

It actually didn't bother me too much, surprisingly. Kinda figured he was just a...dipstick, I reckon. That was one fast truck though. Never seen a diesel that fast, to tell you the truth. (Obviously far from stock) Would have liked to checked it out at a gas station or something, if the guy wasn't such a doof. I now have a new respect for the duramax, and I'm also in need of lots more power.

I agree the guy shouldn't have been an a$$, I've got a truck that's pretty quick, but I'm always for pulling over and chatting with a fellow diesel head. Someone like that though I would have had no problem showing him what a real Duramax could do!!!
