Mid 12's 2wd 3rd Gen On Stock Rubber!!!!!

Well ladies and gentelmen. I just completed a full night of Test-N-Tune a few days ago at Memphis Motorsports park. Came away with a new personal best 1/4mi. time of 12.66@109.4mph!!!!!! I was testing and comparring my new Diablo Predator against the BDPP and pulled nearly identical times. The Diablo is still the standard tune, not the "HOT" 200hp tune.

Am I the only 3rd Gen attemting this with a 2wd??? I see on the best times list that all 3rd gens are 4wd. And 2wd's alltogether are scarce.

Oh, and this is still running stock rubber @ a lowered 30psi.

Made About 2 dozen passes, most just seeing the best I can run with both boxes turned off. With No extra fueling besides the injectors, I still ran a very decent time of 15.21@90.8mph.

12.85@109.3mph (Diablo Stack)
12.67@109.1mph (Diablo Stack)
12.66@109.2mph (BDPP Stack)
12.73@109.6mph (BDPP Stack)
12.87@109.4mph (BDPP Stack)

Way to go!
Maybe this means I might get there one of these days. I don't play on the strip that often, but I do dream of getting RATTLIN to run something in the 12's some day. It just seems there aren't many street 2WD trucks in that league right now. 15.70's are the best I've come up with and trying to get it to hook up off the line is a challenge to say the least. Watching guys like you and Jim Layden down in Atlanta really fueled the hope that it's possible. Now if I can only find the bucks and the nerve to start playing around with my daily driver/tow rig and risk breaking something,,,,,,,,,,

Congrats again!

I've got something in the works The only difference will be a common rail in a 2nd gen single cab 2wd.

I really like the numbers I'm seeing with your truck!

Those are great times. Especially with street tires.
These 3rd gens must hook better than 2nd gens.

At this rate, with a shot of gas, and slicks I should be running in QD instead of DPM. If I can get her that low on gas, I might do both. QD with a shot, and DPM on just #2.

Thnx man! Not much I can help you with being a 2nd Gen but glad to offer any advice you may need.

Now, to get rid of the stupid speed limiter. I'm sure you all see my trap speeds all the same. The speed limiter kicked in with about 150ft left of track. So that little device alone cost me prob. 2-3mph and at least a .05-.10 of time. Cause it accelerates hard rite to the shut-off then kinda coasts through at 109mph, and you feel the g-forces diminish rapidly as soon as it kicks in.

Would taking something like the superchip flashpaq and putting in your computer that you have really small tires to recalibrate your speedo work?

I don't know, maybe I should try that with the Edge, as it's supposed to recalibrate for tire size also.
