the exact words were:
"How is it street with that intake horn. Seriously. And its prolly turning 6,000 too. Well, we are going to hear it here in a sec. Hurry up and spool that big..... Don't get too hot (in reference to Crank It Up at DHRA Indy) How many bottle are in it? Three? Four? Just to get it spooled? And they aren't Pack's kinda bottles, beer bottles. It actually has some bottle, but... Boy this is one bad truck..... I heard you need to run a 3.5 and I thought "Holy crap..." She pulled good. Its got to get too hot. (Some chat about raymondsville) Oh come on! The truck going by (with corey in view) and then him walking off to go have a chat with Anthony about rpms...."
That would be the total uncut convo from my video camera. Now the funny part is, is that 2 different people that work on the truck are giving conflicting stories about it so my wonder's about the truck pulling more rpms than should be allowed are only increased. Not only that but the old man slipped when he said the truck ran 4450 down the track, which may have been true, but the rpms spiked when "something" boosted them at the start. I have sent the video to a few other people (all dealing with GM aftermarket performance) and all are agreeing that the truck was not following the rpm rules, even though it didn't matter because no one was teachin. More than one person there also said so, and this is coming from someone such as myself that had no money or trucks into the event. I had nothing to do with the event, just came to watch and video. Therefore why would I lie about it? Now everything was a joke at the beginning of the clip. I understand that the bottle had CO2 in it which is fine. What advance it may have had, no clue and I support them for trying something different but when you have something like seen on the video happen, things are only going to make you wonder even more. One person even argued the fact I said "It had to be over 4500rpms" and then looked at him and said "it sounds like more than 4500rpms" to be that I was changing my story. I blaintently said "I don't care how you cut it, there was more than 4500rpms in that pull" and walked away. $100 was not going to change my mind and I had half the mind to tell him "Let's settle this the DHRA way and take it for a 20 miles drive" but as I said, I had no money into this and didn't care any other way other than the fact that it was more than 4500rpms. Now I will admit this, that truck is one nasty, nasty, nasty, nasty, nasty, nasty Dmax. I will give the builders and owners every credit they deserve for building that truck. It is one of the best Dmax builds I have ever seen and I have been in close with a couple. But, I will not admit I was wrong in thinking that was more than 4500 rpms. The man said put $100 on it when any one part of what I could have check could have been rigged to say otherwise. I know how to rig a tach, so did everyone else you heard in that video. I know for a fact with the programming used to fuel these trucks as those higher rpms, encryption can be used to hide true RPM and Fueling parameters. I only know this because I have done it myself jsut to tick the local mustang ot camero off at teh local drag strip. Therefore, without diving into the programming used, I could nto be sure whether or not they are telling the truth. People can say what they want. I know what I saw and was sneaky enough to go around and get the info to prove I was right. Corey was sent a copy of it this afternoon. That's the end of the argument. Awesome truck, not the right rpms. PERIOD!

LMAO, obviously youve never heard a dmax turn 4500 rpms down the track. When you can take a dmax to 6000 rpms, let me know, cause im pretty sure thats not happening. You cant fool efi live, why didnt you guys just read his data logging? The truck will be in Houston next week, so im sure you can see it run again. Sorry but just cause you guys dont have any good running duramax's down there dont mean you need to pick on the one that comes and hands everyone their asses. I think ive seen you before ground shaker, your on facebook arent you? I thought shied was building you a race truck and a pulling truck? Thats what you told me on facebook. Well guess it didnt happen oh well. Awesome truck, follows dhra rules (he'll prove that this weekend) PERIOD! Also on another note, maybe youve never heard a dmax with headers? They sound like their turning a lot more rpms than they actually are.

Sorry but his turbo lights like that every weekend, call it a spike, call it cheating, call it what you want, but he kicked a** fair and square, if he is a cheater, it will be proved next weekend, not at a local brush pull.

1. Lots of cussing in this thread. Those of you who have done so, consider yourself warned. You'll find yourself gone if it keeps up.
2. Some insults flying around on this thread. Not going to let that happen.
3. Got a little SPS "syndrome" going on in here. (My dad is bigger than your dad kind of crap)
4. If you want to talk about CompD and videos on CompD, then feel free to go there and discuss them.
This thread is done. Don't start a new one on the subject.
