Maybe A Stupid Question But .....

Exactly how much do the sleds weigh for each truck class. I have always wondered how much these trucks were pulling, but have never seen it posted before.

Thats static weight. It weighs that when you start out. Then when the weight box starts to move up the friction with the pan and ground increase your overall load. Eventually combination of the two stops your vehicle dead in its tracks!

Its pretty much the worst abuse that you can put your truck through.

Oh, come on, it's not THAT bad. It's good for the truck to have a nice workout once in a while.

It's not IF the sleds gonna break ya, its WHEN the sled's gonna break ya. BTW, it's amazing what all you can break.

Yeah, but I think Brandon'n old truck was just a bit too "snappy" to be pulling the sled

I think drag racing is harder on a truck than pulling the sled down a loose track.

05mxdiesel,
What do you think about pulling a sled down a tight track?

This year at Scheids Diesel Extravaganza truck pull a diesel pickups frame
was actually bent in the center by about 2" upward.
Permanently bending the truck at the point between the cab and the bed.

Drag racing would have never loaded the truck that much.

Now thats abuse!
