Not Really.

Some DMX guys can back it up. You don't even need to acknowledge it. Just keep on keepin on.

All The time my friend!!!This is the funnest place to cause trouble - next to Brians - of course. As far as the driver not knowing how to drive I dont think it would have mattered with that guy after I saw the video. Get that tire seperated.

Stop by here more often and we can cause trouble together.

The Juice stopped him from going faster, but he could have very easily been stacking the Quad with it, then it would have been a whole different story
But a win is a win, so congratulations!

This is not a dmax vs cummins thread, but more of a kill thread, leave it at that I am sick of brand wars.

I have been here quite a while, Loved my dodges until the last one my father owned.....

Went to Dmax and haven't had any problems with dealers, parts, or warranty yet.

A kill is a kill I suppose. I rather like my 'sleepy' farm truck. Works hard, Plays hard, and gets better mileage than my old CTD.

Oh yeah, it's kinda quick too

OK.. I know the D-max's are fast, but why?? Is it because of the 5 sp auto that makes them so quick, or just because it's a high revvin' v8? What about on the freeway, is it a little more equal?

I certainly won't mess with one on the road 'cause it wouldn't take but a box to blow me away.

It doesnt matter how long Ive been on a computer because Ive been spanking chevys and fords with my old 1st gen clear back to 1995. AS far as shooting you down I think I got real honest with you by stating I have been 'killed'. I responded to you calling me out and then you never said a thing. I shot you down on trying to make me look like I wouldnt say if I got killed. But like I said in my first response wouldnt it be stupid to have a 'got killed category' on my tailgate. It defeats the whole reason I put it there.
And another thing - even if I did put it there it would just go to show how much more superior the cummins is - just a few checks in the got killed category compared to all the checks in the kills category.

Just stay calm, dont get you panties all wadded up to tight or you wont be able to get your dmaxipad in there

BTW BIG BLUE Sorry if I changed the scope of your thread. I know this was a kill post. My intention was to back you up - not get into a flame. In fact one of the first few posters is what made me jump in when he said something about a ford beating most dodges. Later.

I believe they are fairly quick due to the powertrain.

5 speed auto, close ratio, and the DMax has a decent torque curve. Not nearly the Torque rise of the CTD, but it doesn't have to be with a close ratio transmission.

The RPM ceiling is the same on a DMX as it is the CTD. Unless we program it higher of course.

GJ has it.. once you get the engine up into the torque curve, the close ratio tranny with a good converter can keep the engine at peak. Hense they are quick. Get in one with a stick and its a different story.

I wouldn't fool with them, you will be embarrased if they have done any work to the tranny. As far as pulling goes, I tend to like the longer torque curve and high rise down low. Hey, each to their own, but the DMax is a quick machine right out of the box, and more so with a box..

I have to say that GJ's Twins make up for the torque difference. It feels like an I-6 once it spools.
