So other day Im driving back from the gym. As I make a right turn onto a long street I see a newer 1500 pull along side of me real fast. So I roll into a bit and so does he. We quickly get to a light and he motions me to roll down my window. The conversation went like this;
me-that thing got a hemi!
him-yup, and intake, headers, exhaust, and hypertech chip
me-ok.......
him-you wanna do this?
me-your loss man
As this light went green he got a bit of a jump (burned out a bit on 5x5) but as 2nd gear hit i was freakin gone!!!!! At the next light he says "forget you cummins guys, Im stickin to the fords!" and I reply "what do you think we do all day?!"

I'll let you have some of mine. Only chance I've gotten to race a hemi I lost. He jumped me from the line and we had to shut it down at about 30mph. Oh well. I'll see that guy again.

 

Not that I'm into street racing,,,,,,,, ,,,,, but I had a chance to play with a Hemi. He came barreling up behind me where he couldn't pass until we came to a stoplight where it split into two lanes for making a left hand turn onto a four lane divided highway. The light changed and I took off in a normal fashion making the left turn. With me being on the inside of the turn, I was onto the four lane first and was accelerating normally. We were rolling about 15mph when I heard him get on it,,,,, and I just couldn't help myself. I figured the Hemi would take me cause I was already in 2nd gear,,,, but what the heck,,, nobody around to watch,,,, at least I could see how RATTLIN stacked up to the big bad hyped-up Hemi. By the time I went into fourth unlocked I was a half length ahead and locked-up in fourth really started pulling away. Now this road starts to make a gentle right-hander after 3/8 of a mile, as it turns into a bridge crossing the James river into town. Looking down at the speedo,,,, the time to back off was approaching rapidly. Slowing down on the bridge, the Hemi rolled up beside and the guy never looked over, but I did get a quick "thumbs-up" after he passed me in town.
Ya reckon he will tell his buddies that his new Hemi Ram just got its doors blew off by a diesel? ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Probably not,,,,

 

Twice yesterday I had a chance...Some dude in a Magnum powered ram, and then some chucklehead in a Mitsu rice rocket with a big AEM sticker on the side.....Both came flyin' up on me in traffic, then passed with the hammer down....If they had been at a light or someplace else I might have tried...Too risky to try and race in town....

Not a hemi but a big loud 4x4 2nd gen gasser. Was at the light near my house and the two lane merges to a single. He was behind me driving but when we got to the light he pulled to the right thinking He was in a hurry or something. Hah was he in for a surprise. I left choking on good ol diesel smoke..
And I dont have a clutch yet so I cant go above level 3 on my tst box. Saving my pennies now for a dd.and some sticks.... Then look out

What is all the hipe about the Hemi. I own one! I thought it was fast until I raced my buddys 04.5 stock cummins. He left me behind like I was leftovers for last Christmas. Now that I have my 04 with the same mods as his 04.5, I smoke him bad.

Well, I figure if John Rodriguez's holds 450+hp with the abuse he puts it through then mine oughta hold a little over 400. If I'm lucky and I can swing it just right, and I mean just right, I might be able to get the folks to buy me a tranny for my 21st b-day. It's either that or an all expenses paid trip to vegas.
