Dyno Chart

Here's a chart of my 533 uncorrected run. Looks like a good run. Not quite sure why the little bump on the bottom end. None of the other dyno's I did that day look like that. Runs were started at 40mph in 3rd gear (mustang dyno) and run till 85mph in 3rd gear. No load was put on the dyno. Temps that day were in the 60's. Not quite sure what the correction fact was but my corrected numbers are in my sig. Chart only shows uncorrected though. I'm running 35" tires with 3.54 gears and I was only hitting 32-34psi on the dyno. Overall I'm very pleased. Now it's time to upgrade the TST.

Looks like it was a good dyno weekend for alot of people, you should have put the smarty on stock setting, i bet you would have broke 500 corrected. Yesterday was proof for me that the smarty/catcher hurts number, two people made more power with the stock computer. One picked up 10hp and i dont remember the torque, the other picked up was running the smarty on either level 5 or 9 and a tst comp box, he did 415. Put the smarty back to stock setting, plugged in an old van akken, then dynoed at 465. It seems as though the smarty hurts power levels, but it sure make the truck fun to drive

I probably could have done a lot of things but I like to dyno with the setup that I run everyday. Gives me the best idea on power that I make when I'm driving around. I didn't do a stock software run this time but last time I did one with tst on 9, 100hp sticks, and KSB-1 and did 400/941. With tst on 9, smarty on 5, 100hp sticks, and ksb-1 I did 438/996.

Very nice Blue. As mike said we dynoed yesterday, I was one of the two where the Catcher ECM cost me 10HP.

Blue, have you done your tranny yet? those are awesome numbers, Im gonna go to a dyno/superflow here in CT, after talkin to another forum member he realized I was only seeing 40 psi and egts were still pretty cool, so im wonderin if I had a lil more left in it, all I need is 3.5 hp to crack 500hp, my buddy has the truck that picked up 50 hp. I liked how my truck drove with my catcher once it was re-flashed, however with the van aaken it pulls a lot harder up top without the bottom end smoke.

Yeah - those just ain't Cummins curves... probably due to the way the Mustang dyno works; I think the DynoJet gives more realistic graphs.

Possibly. Every run I made that day looked exactly like that. IIRC, everybody that dynoed yest looked like that.

1qckdodge, I actually was still breaking my new DTT in when I put it on the dyno. Its a ton of fun. I'm gonna ship the TST off today and have it upgraded to the comp version. Should put me well over 500.

Your gonna love the TST COMP, mine however didnt play well with my catcher , I made the 496 with the TSTon 7 @40 psi so I still got some left in it, also temps only got to about 1000-1100, im going friday so we will see what happens, again nice numbers.

1000-1100? I'm pegging 1500* so hard and fast that my water temps start going up. And that's at 40psi. I'm needing twins BAD.

Blue buddy, your only seeing 40psi? Has your smoke cleared at that point. I could pull 50+psi of boost with my BD155. My egt's where around the 1300's area (empty, no trailer towing). Hardly any smoke and ok spool-ups. I guessed my numbers would be at the low 500's at my elevation. Time for some heavy bombing buddy. You should try twins (B2), mach 6er's and a big tank of Nos. Its heavenly sweet ride. A healthy shot of NOS helps in the smile factor. A 533rwhp ride is a sweet ride man.
Running my BD155, I didn't have to looking in my mirrors to see to how bad the smoke trail was and feather the throttle. My trailer only had a light covering of soot after 1200 miles of towing. With mach 6's my bumper is black after 20miles.

I've got my turbo gated down to 40. It's only good up to about 45psi and I'm still running the stock headgasket and bolts. I can easily go well over 40 but I see no need to. I don't think cranking the boost up sky high is going to help my EGT problem. I might try raising it though and see if that helps a tad with EGT's. My smoke is a light haze once the turbo lights but I'm in bad need of more air. These things can be smokey if I'm not careful. Especially with the smarty. My dream setup is a KSB-1/B2 with mach 6's, cam, ported and polished head, water/meth. Figure that combo should be pretty potent yet fairly streetable. Dunno, we shall see though. Gotta get the head locked down this winter then next summer it's hopefully the rest of the tranny and then twins.
