Johnboy not dissen your chevy, when i used to pull 1970 dodge 440,it to was in stock class.but not stock,Your chevy might do better than the next guys thats also stock. But when your out to WIN bending the rules is what you have to do cause this guy or that guy is doing it.and if you cant keep up cause you dont bend them" dont cry when your gitten beat.that why i dont pull any more,to many people need baby bottles in there mouth to stop the cring.

I wouldn't want to...that exhaust housing is RESTRICTIVE!!! 12v heads don't flow like the newer trucks, so that restriction is even worse!
Unless you spend all you're time below 2500 RPM and 35psi, the newer chargers aren't an improvment over the stock HX35. Not too mention the newer ones have an electronic wastegate "control" IIRC...you might have to figure out a way around it! I'm not real sure on the wastegate part, I've never messed with a charger on an 04.5-up! I've changed them on every other series of truck but the 600/610's!

I know what your saying! Beleive me I think it was down right fun this year. Getting call out was kind of fun some times. I know what I got anyone can look at it I am cool with it. I went to a pull in Ohio this summer just to test some new tuning stuff I came up with. Only class I could get in was 2.8 turbo class. They allowed front hanging weight also. I set the truck just like I would for DHRA WS. I thought I would get killed! No way should I be able to hang. To make a long story short I got second out of 25 trucks! I was shocked and very happy. But man some of the other guys where jacked! I told take a look for yourself. And some did. One guy asked where is your trailer? I told him "I drove it here"! He just gave me a weird look and walked a way. I did just fine doing it legit this season. Finished 3rd in WS 4 points behind second. I had no chance at first. He made all but one pull I missed four. 2007 who knows. I am trying to step up to Street just waiting for the new rules so I can start spending money!

One of the main reasons the Duramaxes dominate in the WS class is because those boys have their act together and I can't say the same for the Dodge guys in that class (except for one).
There is only one Dodge I can think of in WS that holds its own and its a 2006 black duallie.

Don't forget Matt Bucchianeri! His 04 CTD can get it done also. As can a lot of other 3rd gen. trucks. The more that show up the better the chances a Dodge can win. Just look at how many Dmaxs showed up in WS this year. A lot.
PuorinDiesel has a good point to. Look at the eight trucks in points. Other than First we all know what everyone else is running. We talk to each other often and bounce ideas of each other. At the track we pit together. We help each other get setup. We spot the sled for the others. If someone breaks we all over there helping fix it. We have a lot of fun. Half the reason we go is to hang out with the other guys. With us it really is a team sport. We also have Dodge buddies to. We help them just same. The thing with us is first have Fun. If you get beat so what you had a good time! Much better than working.

Most of the top WS Dmaxs are LB7s. 2.378 inducer. Still bigger than 2in. But that is not the key. I have spent way more time testing and on the dyno than I did on the pulling track. As I said earlier I have had good luck hanging in the local 2.8 turbo class to. Why because I and my Dmax buddies spent the time to make sure we are getting all we can out what we have. I have tried over 300 different fueling and timing tunes in the last 6 months. It is not just we have a bigger turbo. It is the whole combo. I am all for a 2.5 aftermarket turbo rule, but I still think that if a stock truck came with a stock turbo larger than that the can run it. That way any average dude can pull and have some fun.

Yes, they still let the stock turboed LLYs and LBZs pull. Which i think is fine, because thats what they came stock with. They just allow the cummins' to run a 2.4 charger to even out the playing field a little.

I understand the idea of you need to pay to play. I just dont like the idea of the way they just turn there head like its not happing at certain events rules are rules. I am not saying thats its the dhra tech causing the problem. It just funny to me that a truck wins 1 event [over 40 trucks entered]by 16ft but doesnt even finish in the the top 30 at another [over 40 truck entered].
