There were about four full bodied Dodge with Cummins run in the 10`s, and two Duramax. The fastest Powerstroke was something like 12.X

Congrats to all that competed! Not too much carnage over all. Heads, or gaskets on a Cummins. A motor in a GM. Maybe the first full bodied truck with ALL stock engine/Turbo to ever run 10`s. But he will be changing the engine before it runs another. (Really hated to see that happen, but with that much power, things will break)

guess I shoulda qualified my statement by saying we left after the first round of drags on Saturday and didn't get to the track until after 12:00 on Sunday... I wanted to see the Bullydog truck run after all the pub they've gotten from being on Pinks...

Saturday night was a blast.

Here's the Sunday videos..

Darren Morrison rippin' a 10.26

Keating under 9 seconds Sunday action until the rain

Carnage? How about the dmax that scattered something on the track right before the rain started. Was it a motor or tranny?

No, Johnner did not run his truck @ Indy. We were WAY too far away from home to risk breaking something! Alot of the guys there were asking to run it though. The way that Bullydog Truck ran (12.6) Johnner could have given him a "run for his money!"

I didn't think that could be him, I figured he'd put up better times if it was

The engine was completely stock, and a daily driver with 131,000+ miles on it. Mark has raced it well over 250 times I believe. And he is the first to make a 10 second 1/4 mile run on a stock engine. (I think he got his money`s worth from it.) He was sparying, using propane, and who knows what else.

He ran a 10.85 @ 123.xx mph with all stock engine parts, and stock turbo. The truck is a regular cab, long bed, 4X4 with slicks on all four corners. The truck looks like it jumps up into the air a few inches, and sideways about 2-3 feet before settling down for the runs.

Last year this same truck ran 11.07 @ 123.xx mph at Indy. Same engine, and turbo. Mark says he has another donor engine waiting to be transplanted this week. I am sure he will be back with another 10 second run soon. He is the 1st into the 11`s. and 2nd into the 10`s with a full bodied GM/Duramax.

I believe he has a stock turbo. Either Mark`s truck or Buck`s truck. I am sure I read that Mark`s turbo, and engine was still stock.

That U-haul truck that ran Saturday made me wish I had took the '95 out there. Could've had a "Work Truck Showdown"

Bring it on! As long as I get a handicap start!

Seriously, it was dang fun running the U-Haul. Toughest part was keeping a straight face while renting it and returning it.

Hung out for a while with John and Bill (and their families) from Great Lakes TDR (and drank lots of their beer). Thanks again, guys!

I spent time talking to Buck and Mark (Duramax guys) as well. Really good people, and it turns out I used to live somewhat close to Buck (and likely ran some of the same drag races as he did).

Thanks and regards,
Michael Pliska

Best run was a 22.19 at 59.24 mph, after hot-lapping it on Saturday night (the truck liked the cooler air and warm engine). Mostly it was in the 22.70's. When I used to drag race years ago, I didn't mind having the slower car (I was pretty good at judging the top end when another car was overtaking me). With this thing, there was zero rear visibility (no back window, and the mirrors were shaking so bad on that anything in them looked like a picasso painting).

Regards,
Michael Pliska

Chris
