I left in 2nd 4wd as I didn't do a boosted launch. I am sure you could do a 3rd no problem. That is what I was going to do but I couldn't get into the 7's because the track officals said I didn't have enough safety stuff on the truck.

What are they gonna do to you if you 'accidentally' ran in the 7's? Opps.

FWIW, I can shift mine just as fast as the stock clutch. I cant tell that it slowed me down at all and the enguagement is way up high so if you dont want to, you dont have to hit the floor with the clutch.

I'm loco enough to try 4th gear launches on the street. Works good, but puts a hurting on my clutch. Tires light up at 60 mph.

The only time I've taken the truck to the track I ran 10's in the 1/8 trying to do boosted launches in third, but I couldn't get any traction and made a lot of mistakes.

I've recently discovered that I can make a pretty quick 2-3 and 3-4 shift if I short shift under 2200 rpms.

My DD doesn't slip much but I use the 3 feet method. Clutc toe on break and heal on go pedal.

WOW! You're right there with the Yugo's
I know of 3 Cummins, and 1 Duramax that are in the high 12's. I am sure there are more. But I doubt there are many faster then mid 12's.........

Boosted launches and factory clutch dont mix, I tried and didnt do much but slip the clutch bad. If you want to do boosted launches you better get a good DD.

With no brake at all and clutch all the way down I can build a little boost just rev it up pretty high.
