1/8th mile Times

I finally took my hog to the 1/8th mile track last night @ www.skyviewdrags.com . It is test and tune on friday night.

I only made three passes and my best time was:
Reaction: .503
60 ft: 2.78
1/8th: 10.72
MPH: 71.29

I was kinda of happy, I may be able to get into the 10.50's with a stock clutch, if I can figure out how to get a good launch without red lighting.

As my signature states I have a QC LB with 4.10 gears and a 6sp with 315's. I have a nonadjustable ramifier stacked with a Bullydog Power pup on the 90hp setting, air intake and an airdog, and stock turbo. The stock clutch actually hooks good after I tried to do a 20 psi 3rd gear burnout......must of seated it in a little.....who knows how long it will hold. I figure I might be 375 hp at the rear wheels.

I may go up and play some more before they close for the year. My cousin was up playing with his 05 Dirtymax/ Allison with a Edge Juice......his best time was in the 9.60's with terrible reaction times (1.8 or worse). I figure he would run in the 9.40's pretty easy with a good launch and reaction time.

Well actually Reaction Time does not change the actual run time. R/T just shows how long it took you to react to the green light. R/T will loose you head up match races and is critical in Bracket racing, but does not change the actual vehicle 1/8 or 1/4 mile time.

Mods are in my signature. My best 1/8 mile so far is:

Houston Motorsports Park
1.961 60'
8.791 1/8 @ 79.79mph

This was also about my worst R/T 1.021 I was waiting for boost to build.

My best 1/8 mile is an 8.21. Last time out I ran a 8.32. The track would only hold a 15 psi launch.

Blowin Smoke,

That is a pretty good time with the 6 sp. How are you launching? E-brake?

I definitly need more power, and a dual disc clutch....i need to beat up on these mustangs that think they have something! TST, Clutch and turbo is on my x-mas list!

Hi

I've tried everything but, with my truck,3rd gear launch was to much at 7960 pounds,it didn't like that,I leave at 2500 and it'll load the motor enough to come on boost pretty quick and the rail box and injectors, with my combo is on boost quick,I'm fixing to change and test a new clutch setup to try and improve my shifting,I love the SB for pulling and towing, but trying to speed shift just doesn't happen like it did before with the single ,so we have a new light weight triple disc,I'm hoping will fix that,it worked in our gas car,so time to try in the truck!!!

I dont know about 1/8 mile times but I can run a 1/4 mile in the 13 and maybe 12s with a cold day. I launch at 20-30 psi.

i did a 9.04@76 with a 1.95 60 in my 6 speed launching in 3rd and missing 4th 3 times before it went in gear. i am not sure what i left at booost wise. i did go back and try to hit the 8s but i found a 40 plus psi launch will light up all 6 285s.

10.2 was my best 1/8th. I believe i could make high 9's with an empty bed, and 1/4 tak of fuel or so.
