^ I think it's in the wiki section. I have specs for the baldwin filters I run if anyone is interested or thinking of changing brands. It's saved me twice w/junk fuel.

Fuel Water Separator on Fass 150/150:
How does the Baldwin BF1259 compare to the Baldwin1212 and Fleetguard FS1000?
Baldwins site says the BF1259 is a replacement for the Fleetguard FS1000. Same threads as the BF1212 but longer at 9 17/32 vs the BF1212 at 7 9/16.
IF, the BF1259 performs as well as the BF1212 AND one has room for the longer filter the BF1259 might be a better filter due to the size providing higher capacity.
I cant locate specs for the BF1259 though, is anyone familiar with it?

The FS1000 is a 10um, vs 20um for the FS1212 so I would assume the BF1259 follows suit.
I'll drop Baldwin a line and see what the f/w sep rates are. I am going to go out on a limb and say they are the same as the BF1212.

So the FS1000 provides better filtration at 10um than the Baldwins at 20um, however the Baldwins provide better free water separation at 99% compared to 95% for the FS1000. (Presuming the BF1259 and BF1212 are the same spec).
That being the case, PROVIDED a good fuel filter is used, and considering that the FASS doesnt like restriction on the suck side where the FW separator is installed, the preference should be to focus on water separation capability and thus the Baldwin (s) would be the better choice.
Is that a fair conclusion?
