Best deals on 2012s????
Looking to pull the trigger on a 2012 Laramie Mega. Dealer is suppose to be one of the volume dealers that only makes 500ish per sale and makes their money on the bonus's from the manufacturer. But it looks like a lot of guys are getting their trucks at 10-12k below msrp. The truck I am looking at is 60775 msrp...they are offering it at 54700 at 0% for 60. Whats going on here? You guys that are getting these 10-12k discounts...is that taking the rebates? Right now the rebate is only 2500...I plan on financing almost all of the price, so the 0% is the way to go.
So I guess what I am asking is...what is invoice on a 60775 truck? According to this dealer it is 52200 after taking half of the hold back out....

I picked up my brand new 2012 3500 Laramie Longhorn Mega Dually 4x4 with Sunroof, Max Tow Package, and a few other goodies for $50k. The sticker price was almost $64k.
However there were 3 of the exact same models on the lot, same color scheme and option package and everything. I put down 30k cash and financed the rest. This may have been a factor or maybe not?
Also car dealers lie, (no suprise). The 4 dealers I was working with all said they were the #1 dealer in the state.

I just picked up a 2012 Laramie Longhorn that stickered for $60,145. I paid $47,900. That included $3250 rebate, $1000 trade in allowance and $750 customer cash, so add that $5000 on and invoice minus holdback comes to $52,900.

I think it was $3500 rebate, $750 cash bonus from the lender, another $750 for ?, $1000 off for my BMW lease, and $7k off the sticker.
The final number was $50k and some change. Subtract $30k down and add back about $6-7k for tax, license, destination charge, etc. and that left me with about $26k I had to finance.

When I bought my '08 new with a trade-in, Dodge loyalty, and the other rebates they tossed at me it cost less than a used truck.
Do some shopping like I did, it makes a HUGE difference.
