I was thinking of a Mag pan for the 08 and just putting the sensor in the pan.. I also saw a little tid-bit a place was selling.. It was a tapped aluminum bud that would hold the sensor and was machined out to go over the line with a clamp. It wouldn't be a true fluid temp, but if you buffed the line off clean and put a thin layer of synthetic grease in between with insulation over top, It wouldn't be far off.. If you know where your sensor is, I would think you have your own alarm limits..

Material of the swagelok depends on the material of your line. If you have a stainless line, the brass swage won't bite into it very much, you'll just deform the ferrule inside. Use stainless on stainless line, use brass on copper and other soft materials.

if you are looking at saving some cost, there are several other companies that compete with Swagelok for that business-and are quite a bit cheaper.
Hy-lock is on that I use quite a bit for work. They have pretty much every thing that swage does-but cheaper.
