Same thing I was thinking but I don't think the 6.7L Powerstroke is available yet.

Kevin M, why wouldn't you choose a new Dodge Cummins?

In fact why not a 5.9L CR so you could swap parts with your race truck?!!

We were talking about this truck on Cummins Forum.. 2005 with 1600 km's..
Word is that it sold for US$30k..

Man when you go on a shopping spree, you don't fool around!!!
Congrats on the new wheels. When do you take delivery?

Yellow block on the cummins? It'll take some work to take all the parts off, rough it up, and repaint it, wouldn't it?

Kev was telling me some people are getting some decent #'s from the 6.4's with only a programer and exhaust. I think that's whats driving his defection

Yeah Joe, just the 6.4. The reason I didnt go with a new dodge is that I didnt want another old body style, I cant stand the seats on them. And I wouldnt buy another chevy if you paid me. So ,, now time to try the ford,, who knows when dodge is actually going to get the new truck out

Like others have said, the 2008 and newer Ford trucks are anything but attractive with the practical but ugly "headlights on the bottom" style grill.

The 2005-2007 Superduties are the nicest looking truck & 2005 is when Ford updated the front suspension on the trucks.
But those trucks still only have a 5 speed auto while the the Dodge & Duramax have a 6 speed auto.

I know exactly what you mean on the Dodge seats, but it's an easy bolt in fix! Just takes $$$$..

I find that the 2nd gen seats are better than the 3rd gens. The new truck looks to have the side supports like the SRT vehicles do. I just don't like that sticker price of any of the new diesels regardless of brand. The ford is one nice truck, but I'm with Joe, those head lights are just not for me. I think that 6.4L and the ford five speed is a better combo than the 6.7L/RE68, but there is no exhaust brake on the ford/chevy truck.

I'm probably just gonna keep my 1/2ton hemi, as gas is cheap right now. I have 40000km with not one check engine light yet. A turbo install is pretty easy and I bought it new for $28k, with leather interior. So I still have a bit of money left over for toys. I haven't even drove it this year, my 02 has been working perfectly.

The sticker price is definately enough to scare someone away from these darn things.. when I was signing the papers, I told the girl I bought my first 2 houses for what I owe on this truck

Wink

The new 2500 and 3500's are hitting the showroom floors as we speak ...... I hope you have a Good Expereince with your new Ford. I honestly would have waited for the FORD Sourced 6.7L...... You probably got a Heck of a Deal on the 6.4 though. There are Dodge Dealers across the US that got a shippment of the new 2010 Heavy Dutys last week. Pull back on your Deal and get a New Updated Dodge....... I will Pray for you
